What are Soulbound Contracts and Tokens?
Soulbound Tokens are a special type of NFT that cannot be transferred or sold once minted.
This means that once a user mints or buys a Soulbound Token from the smart contract (Soulbound Contract), it stays in their wallet permanently. Think of them as on-chain badges or digital items that are uniquely tied to the wallet they were minted to.
Soulbound Tokens are ideal for use cases where ownership is intended to be permanent and non-transferable, such as exclusive game items, battle passes, achievement badges, or digital collectibles tied to specific in-game actions.
Deploying Soulbound Contracts for game items and battle passes with Sequence Builder
With Sequence Builder, now deploying contracts for Soulbound NFTs is fast and straightforward. Whether you’re creating non-transferable game assets like battle passes or permanent achievement badges, Sequence Builder provides all the tools you need to set up and manage Soulbound Tokens with ease.
Sign in to Sequence Builder
Navigate to Deploy > Contracts
Click on “Deploy new contract”
Select either ERC-721 or ERC-1155 Soulbound tokens from the list
Fill in the required fields and…deployed!
