We're excited to have helped developers enhance their campaigns’ performance since the recent launch of Audience —a powerful new tool within Sequence Builder that lets builders easily create lists of users for permissioned access to contracts and collections.
In this article, we are going to explain more in-depth about Audience’s capabilities, specifically the power of list creation, and the future use cases this feature enables.
What are Audience lists and how do they enhance performance of permissioned campaigns?
Designed to give developers flexibility and security, Audience lists allow you to curate specific groups of users with email addresses or wallet addresses. Whether you're looking to create an exclusive token sale or segment access to specific items, Audience lists offer a streamlined, secure solution for managing your audience.
With this feature, builders and creators alike can:
- Easily create allow-listed groups of players for permissioned sales/access via a user-friendly UI, perfect for gating access to ERC721 or ERC1155 items.
- Ensure cryptographic security by using automated Merkle root generation, keeping access restricted only to approved players, without extensive programming knowledge.
- Flexibly manage lists—either by manually creating them or by uploading wallet addresses via standard formats like CSV.
We know that flexibility is key, so we’ve made Audience Lists compatible with Sequence’s Project Templates and Boilerplates, such as the ERC1155 Primary Sales template, enabling you to get started with tailored, secure mints in no time.
The Audience List feature is just the beginning. Future updates will allow you to create lists dynamically, based on both on-chain and off-chain data queries, enabling even more personalized user access. Our goal is to provide a flexible and scalable solution that supports any developer’s growing needs.
Get started with Audience lists
Creating and deploying an Audience list in Sequence Builder is straightforward:
- Sign into Sequence Builder.
- Select “New project” and choose “ERC-1155 sale contract” or “ERC-721 sale contract” from the list to create a permissioned sale via our templates. You can also check our Github repos for ERC-1155 and ERC-721 sale contract boilerplates.
- Use our UI to create a list of wallet addresses or upload a pre-existing list in CSV format.
- Sequence takes care of the cryptographic complexities, generating a Merkle root to protect access.
- Link your Audience list to an existing or new contract and launch your permissioned NFT drop or access-controlled event seamlessly.
